As the second largest yacht manufacturer in the world, HanseYachts AG not only has one of the largest boat joineries at its headquarters in Greifswald, but also its own training workshop. The variety of wood types we use is considered unique in the entire industry. More than 100 colleagues produce interior fittings for our sailing and motor yachts.

Wood mechanics are considered the "carpenters of the industry". This means that during your apprenticeship you will not only learn step by step about the different types of wood and how they are processed by hand and machine.
You will also learn to monitor and operate technical equipment such as the CNC milling machine. Here, the wooden parts are cut to millimeter precision using state-of-the-art technology before being assembled. The processing of the surfaces and the installation of the wooden components in our boats are also part of your training.
In addition, there is the possibility of acquiring the additional qualification "CAD and CNC technology wood" as part of your training with us.

The practical part at HanseYachts AG is supplemented by the theoretical part at the vocational school in Wolgast.
