Dehler 30 one design wins “Best Boats Award 2021” in two categories

Just in time for the beginning of the year, “Europe's Yacht of the Year 2020” won another award in two categories with the “Best Boats Award 2021”. The racer-cruiser convinced the jury of experts in the class “Performance Boats 30ft or Less” as well as in the category “Systems”, in which the Dehler Stealth Drive was honored as the best technical innovation.

The jurors were enthusiastic about the performance and concurrent easy control over the boat – even at high speeds. In addition, the standard Dehler Stealth Drive, which allows the use of a fixed, powerful propeller and can quickly be folded up and integrated into the hull when not in use, won the award for best technical feature.

Adam Cort, Editor-in-Chief of SAIL Magazine: “The judges unanimously selected the boat as the winner in the ‘Performance Boats 30ft or Less’ category. The deciding factor, apart from the design, was the spectacular test sail on the Chesapeake Bay, which was definitely one of the best sea trial in recent years of the Best Boats Awards. The Dehler makes for incredibly exciting sailing but is always well controlled, which in addition to the fun factor keeps the average speed consistently high, which is where success in long distance racing lies.”

Douglas Brophy, Sales Manager, Dehler in North America: “We are delighted to receive this recognition from the sailing experts. The Dehler 30 one design was designed with the sailing purist in mind, not just for offshore sailing in double-handed mode. As the award for the Dehler Stealth Drive shows, we are once again leading the industry in system innovation.”

We are grateful for the award and look forward to the Dehler 30 one design continuing its successful course this year.
