For the high ratio of 8 Dehler yachts to the 51 registered boats, there is a simple explanation: a proud 50 years of tradition in GRP boatbuilding! A good reason for Karl Dehler, the son of the company’s founder, to award three special prizes to the spritely oldies:

To the "Östersjön" owned by Franziska Tempus, a Varianta 65 from 1974, as the oldest participating Dehler yacht, to the “Pinto” owned by Boris Beckmann, a Delanta 78 LS from 1978, as the closest preserved original. And to the best-maintained "Imagine" owned by Axel Elvegaard, an Optima 92 built in 1979. And all GRP enthusiasts are already looking forward to the Modern Classics 2014.

We’ll see how many Dehler boats are there then ...
