Bremerhaven-based yacht designers Judel/Vrolijk & co (www.judel-vrolijk.com), established in 1978, have always been amongst the world's most well-renowned designers, not just since their victories in the America's Cup. JV co-founder Rolf Vrolijk was Head of Design at the Swiss Alinghi team for several years and it was thanks to his designs that the Cup came to Valencia in Spain.

The team surrounding partners Rolf Vrolijk and Friedrich Judel designed several of the world's most successful offshore racing yachts, winning the famous Admiral's Cup several times - not only with German racing yachts and owners, but with teams from around the world. JV's designs are successful at all large, international events. Now that the contract has been extended, Dehler and JV will continue to be in the same boat.

The designers' expertise forms an important basis for the success and sailing performance of Dehler yachts because at Dehler, we always aim to create the world's fastest cruiser-racer yacht in its class. It goes without saying that JV also produce one-off designs and large, exclusive cruising yachts for customers around the world. Apart from Friedrich Judel, who recently resigned from his position in the company, and Rolf Vrolijk, Torsten Conradi has been a vital part of the company as one of the associates. Today, Conradi is the company's Managing Director. Dehler and Judel/Vrolijk & co have been in the same boat since years. The designers have created the Deheler 29, 32 and the new 41 in the excisting model range. A new Dehler 38 model is currently in development at Dehler and Bremerhaven and will be launched late Oktober.

Since 1991, the company has been based at the mouth of the River Weser. A total of 15 naval architects work there on new projects, ranging from large luxurious cruisers to TP 52 high-tech racers. Torsten Conradi, Managing Director at Judel/Vrolijk & co is delighted to extend the contract with Dehler and keen to maintain the companies' successful collaboration. The contract was signed at 22nd of May 2012 at the HanseYachts AG main facility Greifwald from Conradi and Dr. Peter Barth, managing director production of Hanse Yachts AG. JV as a company does not consider itself to be a supplier but more of a part of development team. "Our collaboration has always been successful and with a positive outcome. We fully support the product and the exclusive philosophy", Conradi explains."
