Every year, the Kieler Woche brings sailors to the Baltic Sea, to test their skills and compete with others. At the German ORC Championship 5 of 17 enrollments were Dehler yachts. Among them, as so often, Kalle Dehler with his "Sporthotel", a Dehler 38c. As the smallest yacht in his group, Kalle and his crew ranked 5th place, which he is very satisfied with: "We had wonderful races with a tough competition and on a high level. Although we did not make it into the top three we still had a lot of fun to compete with the best.
Jens Kuphal was able to secure the 8th place with his new Dehler 42c "Intermezzo". The Intermezzo was built specifically for racing, with light interior and performance packages such as the carbon mast and the competition keel and rudder. "That was a great start for the new Dehler! Ranking 8th at the Kieler Woche, on a new yacht that has not been sailed much before, is quite impressive", says Kalle Dehler.
