Eric Darni

Skipper of Privilège

My adventure with Privilège began in 2013, when I prepared my Class 40 yacht for the Transat Jacques Vabre at the marina of Privilège in Les Sables-d‘Olonne. When I returned from the regatta, Gilles Wagner asked me if I wanted to become the official Privilège skipper. This was a stroke of luck for me, as I was already an experienced offshore sailor at the time, who didn‘t care to spend much time on land. Today I teach our customers how to handle our yachts.

The moment when the owners cast
off the lines and sail away on
their new Privilège is always
a magic moment for me.

Additionally I do extensive sea trials with new models, deliveries to owners and transfers to international boatshows. One day I would like to circumnavigate the globe aboard our catamarans. But deep in my heart I will always remain a regatta sailor who loves the speed and the feeling of winning.
