The best sailing yachts of 2021 winner of the British yachting awards 2020 winner cruising yacht of the year

Triumph at the British Yachting Awards 2020

The Moody Decksaloon 41 has been awarded Cruising Yacht of the Year 2020 at the British Yachting Awards. The tension was high when the British Sailing Today magazine together with Yachts & Yachting ceremonially announced the winners of each category in an online event. Exclusively voted online by readers every year, the prize honors extraordinary successes, new products as well as individual and team achievements in a total of twelve categories.

Decisive for the victory of the Moody DS 41 were her innovative design, her 360° panoramic view in the deck saloon and her incomparable space on 41 feet (ca. 12 meters) as well as the excellent sailing characteristics. She thus prevailed in the coveted cruising yacht category against the Grand Soleil 42 LC, the Arcona 345, the Dufour 530, the Elan GT6 and the Beneteau Oceanis 40.1.

Product Manager Andreas Unger: “This audience award is won at the base of the British sailing scene and thus reflects the current wishes and needs of sailors. We are very pleased to have hit the nerve of the time and to have met the requirements of a modern blue water yacht.”
