Another great piece of news reached us right at the end of last year, when the Moody 54 Decksaloon ‘Moody Buoys’ won second place at the famous Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race (Division PHS). The course runs between Sydney and Hobart, a distance of 628 nautical miles, and is considered one of the most difficult open sea races in the world. Trevor Richardson won an excellent second place on his ‘Moody Buoys’, sailing with local RGYC sailors Brenton Carnell, Chris and Sue Beretta. It was Richardson’s fourth Sydney-Hobart, after previous campaigns in 2014, 2016 and 2018. “There was another Moody Decksaloon 54 in the race that sailed successfully, the sister ship ‘Blue Water Tracks’ from the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. It was nice to have such local competition” said Richardson. Congratulations from Greifswald to the team of ‘Moody Buoys’!
