The Moody Decksaloon 41 is very well received internationally by sailors and expert judges. She already triumphed at the British Yachting Awards in 2020. Now the American Cruising World Magazine has also honoured the blue-water yacht with the title "Boat of the Year 2023". In the category "Best Full-Size Cruiser", she prevailed against the Elan Impression 50.1 and the Hallberg Rassy 400, among others, during extensive sailing tests in the Chesapeake Bay.
"The most surprising thing about the Moody 41DS was not the almost 360-degree all-round view from the saloon, the creative use of the interior space or the high bulwark with the fixed stainless steel railing that surrounds the entire deck, but the sailing performance that kept us going at almost 8 knots in a wind force of about 13 knots," said judge Mark Pillsbury.
The decision is still pending at the American Sail Magazine. Here, the DS41 will compete in the Best Boats Award 2023. We are keeping our fingers crossed that she will also bring this award to Greifswald in January.
