Currently, ports and marinas are re-opening in many areas. Many of us can finally get back on the water. Of course, this includes keeping an eye on the current COVID 19 measures. As always, we want to keep our promise and give an update on how HanseYachts AG is doing in times of COVID 19.
Most dealers and service points have re-opened. We have implemented and maintained strict COVID 19 measures since the beginning of March, including the strict closure to the public of our production, working from home when possible, over-the-face masks and much more. These measures are being implemented with patience and discipline. Thanks to our entire team, not a single case of COVID 19 has occurred at HanseYachts.
Unfortunately, since the beginning of March and until further notice, customers, dealers and other guests are prohibited from entering the shipyard in Griefswald. However, it is still possible to inspect your finished boat at our delivery pier located at the entrance to the yard.
All of our production sites are operating and your yachts are being built diligently. Some boats face delays due to supply chain interruptions. As borders and supply chains are gradually re-opening, we expect this to improve slightly in the future. We apologize if your boat is affected by these interruptions.
In our global market, we have had 35 boat shows cancelled between March and August — all very important to us and our dealers. As a result, we will decrease production around summer break wherever there are limited orders. This will not lead to any further delays and we are still accepting new orders with pleasure and thanks. This measure does not affect the Privilege catamarans in France, where we have so many orders we are increasing our workforce.
Having your own boat is the most beautiful way of vacationing and a safe place for you and your family. Your dealer is always there to help you make your dream come true and we are happy to build it.
