Hanse 460 is "European Yacht of the Year 2022"
Hanse’s new 460 has won the sailing industry's Oscar in the Family Cruiser category. In a strong field of participants, the Hanse 460 came out ahead, leaving the competition trailing in its wake.
Due to the Corona pandemic, the awards ceremony was held online again this year – boot Düsseldorf, where the awards are traditionally presented during the Flagship Night, had to be cancelled again. Enjoy the entire awards ceremony here: Watch on YouTube
In October last year, immediately after its world premiere at the Barcelona Boat Show, the Hanse 460 was extensively tested for several days on the Mediterranean by the judges.
Toby Hodges, Yachting World – UK: “Hanse's bold decision to change designers has obviously paid off. The Hanse 460 skillfully fulfills its task of offering a voluminous hull that is nevertheless powerful. The boat wins you over with its attractive aesthetics, enjoyable sailing and the feeling of an even bigger yacht.”
Pasi Nuutinen, Vene – Finland: “The traditional Hanse strengths have been retained in the new Family Cruiser, along with good quality and a balanced price-performance ratio.”
Roland Duller, Yachtrevue - Austria: “The 460 is a novelty in the Hanse range. The first model from the French designers has a super-modern hull, looks more like a racer than a cruising yacht, performs convincingly in both light and strong winds and offers plenty of space.”
Joakim Hermansson, Praktisk Båtågande - Sweden: “The buyer has a choice that runs from three spacious double cabins and a large separate multifunction room, up to 10 berths in five cabins. Thanks to the radical hull shape, this voluminous yacht sails amazingly well.”
In addition to the vote of the 12-member jury, consisting of the editors-in-chief of the largest European boating magazines, the Hanse 460 also clearly won a readers' poll held by the German sailing magazine Yacht.
Andreas Unger, Hanse Product Manager: “We are incredibly proud to have brought the Oscar of the sailing industry back to Greifswald. The entire team worked passionately on the boat and fought for this success. Our decision to work with the designers from Berret-Racoupeau for the first time proved to be spot on. This success, as well as the sales response, is overwhelming.”
