We’re training the next generation
HanseYachts AG has been training apprentices at its headquarters in Greifswald for nearly 30 years. Since then, several hundred apprentices have successfully completed their courses with us. We currently offer five different apprenticeships and three dual study programs. It doesn’t matter whether the apprenticeship is in a technical field or in a business-related area – helping our apprentices with their personal and professional development is of the utmost importance at HanseYachts AG. You will spend time in various departments so as to gain a well-rounded overview of how our company works. Our partnerships allow us to offer wider experiences to broaden your horizons even further.
The theoretical component of the apprenticeship usually takes the form of single- or multi-week teaching modules taking place at prestigious vocational schools. HanseYachts AG will cover expenses for travel to the vocational school and any accommodation required.
Our trainees receive a training allowance in the amount of:
- 900 Euro (1. apprenticeship year)
- 1.000 Euro (2. apprenticeship year)
- 1.100 Euro (3. apprenticeship year)
- 1.200 Euro (4. apprenticeship year)
Our students receive an educational allowance in the amount of:

We want our apprentices to get off to a good start, which is why we will offer to help you find somewhere to live and provide temporary accommodation at a company flat until you have found a place of your own. Our headquarters is situated in the city of Greifswald, which is a university town. This makes it an appealing environment for young people in particular, with plenty of things for you to do in your spare time. There are numerous clubs and societies in this attractive location right on Germany’s Baltic coast, with watersport particularly well represented. HanseYachts AG has some yachts of its own, and they are available for our apprentices to use as well. Sailing taster sessions are offered on a regular basis. Greifswald’s Wednesday races are particularly popular among our apprentices.
With high-quality training, we jointly create a solid foundation for a successful start into professional life. Trainees at HanseYachts AG regularly rank among the best. This is made possible by the high quality of our training, which has received awards for the last five years:

IHK TOP COMPANY FOR APPRENTICESHIPS award
The IHK Neubrandenburg chamber of industry and commerce bestows TOP COMPANY FOR APPRENTICESHIPS status on companies that have consistently delivered apprenticeships of excellent quality in professions recognised by the IHK in the region for a period of at least five years. An independent panel is the sole arbiter of which companies receive the award. Having been granted the honour in the past four years, HanseYachts AG was once again named a TOP COMPANY FOR APPRENTICESHIPS by IHK Neubrandenburg in 2022.
