"Hafenliebe" on the Baltic Sea
“A Fjord yacht is simply something special,” says Adam Schwertfeger with a broad grin as it stands in front of the crane that is gently lifting his new Fjord 48 open into the water.

For the sailor and owner of the restaurant Hafenliebe in Warnemünde on Germany’s Baltic coast, it is his first motorboat. With the yacht of the same name, he has big plans: “A champagne reception for guests; a picnic on the water; or a sunset barbecue – this yacht opens up completely new event possibilities for me.” The reasons to choose a Fjord yacht were many: “There are any number of sailing boats in Warnemünde, but the Fjord really stands out. Its contemporary design is a real feast for the eyes and enriches the look of our restaurant. In addition, guests have a lot of space on the boat, the freedom to move about, and the high bulwarks make it much safer for children.” From his home port, the new owner would like to open up the picturesque destinations of the Baltic Sea to his guests: “A day trip to the beach at Kühlungsborn; a quick dash over to Denmark; or welcoming the arrival of the Tall Ships for Hanse Sail in Rostock – I have so many ideas. With the fast Fjord, we can reach many places in double quick time”.
Despite wet weather during the first sea trial on the Greifswalder Bodden, Adam's enthusiasm was unhampered. He is looking forward most to enjoying the Fjord by himself in a rather cozy natural harbor. He doesn't want to reveal the exact location, because now it's time to practice mooring. “I still have to get used to the big boat, and it's better to practice where nobody can see me,” Adam laughs. As soon as he’s mastered maneuvering, a private short holiday with the family is scheduled as a shake-down cruise. We wish you a lot of fun and success with the “Hafenliebe”!
