Dehler 35 "Midnight Rambler" 3rd at Scandinavian classic Gotland Round Race

| Dehler News

Our Swedish Dealer Johan Wallin had a mission. He wanted to present our new Dehler 35 at the well known race and he wanted topresent it in perfect style. After winning the German ORC Championships at Kiel Week, Wallin took over the Dehler 35 "Hochwürden" to sail it over to Stockholm and prepare the boat.

With the legendary Gurra Krantz (4 Volvo Ocean Races) at the helm, two youngster  of the swedish education program "Youth Offshore Challenge" in the  crew, a new reduced rating with 5 seconds less per mile (620 sec/sm) and with a new name "Midnight Rambler", Wallin and his team started in ORC class at course alfa over 311 miles round the baltic island.

It was a start to finnish victory for "Midnight Rambler", who sailed the fastetst time around the course. The boat could even pass the two classes of 80 yachts started before. At the end "Midnight Rambler" became 3rd in corrected time.

Sorry, Wallin wrote us after the race, "we liked to present a first, but we sticked in heavy calm and had tooverhaule the fleet twice. But we are all very lucky with that 3rd place!"

"Our Dehler 35 presented a good show. It has a lot potential, and everybody has seen that", told Johan Wallin. “We have been in TV several times and our legend Gurra Krantz is now a fan of this fast Dehler-boat!

The boat will be presented at Aarhus Boat Show in Denmark (13th to 18th of August) and it will sail the ORC Worls Champiopnships in September in Flensburg, Germany.

We at Dehler feel very proud for the team and the boat. Congratulations!
